About Us

Hi! My name is Mendi, or as my friends call me, Mews! I grew up in Hawaii as a chronically homeschooled kid. Growing up with a lot of time on my hands gave me the space to lean heavily into creative spaces such as art and writing.

In 2023, I had the idea to create wearable sculptures of my memories, ideas, and stories to express myself in a way that was special to me. Kirei Pixie was then born with a pair of leg warmers made from the scraps of a sweater that I did not wear anymore, but couldn't throw away because my mom said no (she was still mad I cut it up, but at least now I use it!).

I am so happy to be graced with the opportunity to share my art with all of you, and I hope you all know that there is a little piece of my heart that goes into every single one of my pieces that I send out <3

• Sustainability: many pieces are made from second hand materials coming from preloved jewelry and textiles. Items are also made in small batches in order to keep the amount of waste to a minimum.
• Artisan Storytelling: Each piece is not only handmade with love, but with intention. Each Kirei Pixie collection is put together as an expression of the artist. Kirei Pixie is not just an accessory brand for the creative, but a creative diary for the artist herself.
• Safe Place for Self Expression: Kirei Pixie encourages self expression through fashion no matter how outlandish others others may find it. By specializing in alternative and niche fashions, Kirei Pixie aims to welcome people of all styles and backgrounds while also helping them to feel confident in their choice of fashion and style.
